What is Barion™?

Convenient, fast, and secure online payments using your bank card or prepaid Barion balance.

Barion is an electronic payment service that allows you to pay conveniently and securely in our online store using your bank card or your prepaid Barion balance.

The service is provided by Barion Payment Ltd., an electronic money issuer supervised by the National Bank of Hungary, under license number H-EN-I-1064/2013.

Pay Conveniently by Credit or Debit Card

Registration is not required to pay by card. Simply enter your:

1. Bank card number
2. Expiry date
3. CVC security code found on the back of your card
4. A valid email address

However, if you register for a Barion account, you will never need to enter your card details again at any Barion merchant. Future payments require only your email address and password. This is not only more convenient but also provides an additional level of security.

You can pay with:

1. Mastercard or Maestro cards
2. Visa or Visa Electron cards
3. American Express (Amex) cards

Pay Without a Bank Card

If you do not have a bank card, you can pay using your prepaid Barion Balance.

Your balance can be topped up by bank transfer or cash deposit, and other Barion users can also send money directly to your account.

In this case, payment is completed simply by entering your email address and password.

Free of Charge

There are no additional fees for customers paying by bank card.

Registration, the Barion mobile application, and sending or receiving money are all free of charge.

There are no monthly fees and no account maintenance fees for your Barion Balance.

Small fees may apply when topping up or withdrawing your balance, although topping up via bank transfer is free of charge.

2. Manage your Barion Balance
3. Send and receive money

Security Comes First

Barion's servers are protected by 256-bit SSL encryption provided by Norton/Symantec/VeriSign.

Before making a payment, always verify that you are entering your bank card details or password on Barion's secure payment server.

Your browser will display a secure connection (HTTPS) and identify the payment page owner as Barion Payment Inc. [HU].

Barion is fully PCI DSS certified, meeting the international security standards required by the major card networks for handling payment card information.

The security of Barion's systems has been designed in accordance with the requirements of the National Bank of Hungary.
